Microsoft Viva Amplify: Support for sensitivity labels in Microsoft Outlook
Microsoft Viva Amplify will soon support sending mail with sensitivity labels in Microsoft Outlook. In tenants where admins have enabled sensitivity labels on email, users will see the Sensitivity label menu in the Outlook audience selector in Amplify. This menu will respect settings that admins configured for labels, such as requiring the label, providing justifications, and so on. When an email is sent from Amplify, the received email will have the appropriately sensitivity label. If you have not set up sensitivity labels in your tenant, this feature will not impact your tenant. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 477370. When this will happen: Public Preview: We will begin rolling out mid-April 2025 and expect to complete by early May 2025. General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out early May 2025 and expect to complete by late May 2025. How this will affect your organization: Users will find a new Sensitivity field when sending email from Amplify in the Outlook audience selector. This field provides the ability to send appropriately labeled emails (that will be appropriately encrypted) from Amplify: View image in new tab This feature will be available by default if admins have enabled sensitivity labels on email. What you need to do to prepare: This rollout will happen automatically by the specified dates with no admin action required before the rollout. Review your current configuration to assess the impact on your organization. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation. Message ID: MC1055550
