UPDATED: Azure outage affecting Windows Updates and related services
UPDATED 1:45 PM PST: Resolution efforts are complete at this time, and Windows services are expected to be back to normal. Notices related to this issue have been moved to history sections across Azure status pages. At this time, Windows Update is expected to update and download as normal, and functionality has been restored across Microsoft Update Catalog, Microsoft Store, and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS). 11:15 AM PST: An Azure outage is presently affecting several Windows services. Impacted services include Windows Update and the Microsoft Update Catalog. Users might also experience issues accessing or downloading content from the Microsoft Store and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS). Users might encounter delays, failures, or timeouts with downloads or access to these services. Additional related services might also be affected. Recovery efforts are underway, and some traffic is being successfully redirected. Service availability is expected to improve as additional recovery actions are completed. Customers experiencing this issue are advised to retry Windows Update and related service operations later. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
