Group member management temporarily unavailable from SharePoint Online Group card
Group membership management from the SharePoint Online Group card will be temporarily disabled starting late June 2026 to fix reliability issues, with full functionality expected by September 30, 2026. Users should manage memberships via Outlook, Teams, or the Microsoft 365 admin center during this period. No admin action is required. What and Why: To address an infrastructure-related reliability issue, we are temporarily disabling group membership management actions from the Group card when it is accessed from SharePoint Online. This ensures users do not initiate membership changes that may fail to complete. This change is part of our ongoing commitment to provide a more reliable and predictable experience across Microsoft 365 group management.
