SharePoint Pages: Sections with AI
Sections with AI in SharePoint Pages enables users to create rich page sections using natural language prompts powered by Copilot. Rolling out worldwide from mid-August to mid-October 2025, it automatically activates for tenants with a Copilot license, enhancing content creation with context-aware AI suggestions and refinements. Sections with AI in SharePoint Pages We’re introducing Sections with AI, a new SharePoint authoring experience that enables users to generate rich, full-fidelity page sections using natural language prompts. This feature leverages Copilot to understand page context, suggest relevant content, and generate dynamic sections that incorporate organizational knowledge, documents, and meeting transcripts. This enhancement simplifies content creation and improves productivity by reducing manual effort and enabling more intelligent, context-aware page building. When this will happen General Availability (Worldwide): Rollout begins mid-August 2025 and is expected to complete by mid-October 2025. How this affects your organization Sections with AI will be automatically available to all SharePoint tenants with a Copilot license. This feature introduces a new way for users to create rich, full-fidelity sections on SharePoint pages using natural language prompts. Users can: Add a section using AI View image in new tab Choose a prompt or write your own View image in new tab View and select multiple generated sections View image in new tab Refine your section with a prompt View image in new tab These steps allow users to: Select or write prompts to generate new sections. Ground prompts in relevant files for more accurate results. Toggle between multiple generated options and choose their favorite. Refine both content and layout using natural language commands (e.g., “make the text more professional” or “add John Smith’s contact information”). Add the final section to the page canvas and edit it like any other section. This feature is on by default for eligible tenants. What you can do to prepare No admin action is required for enablement. Consider notifying your users about this new capability and its benefits.
