saralam, love having this capability in Desktop and look forward to using online! Made a recent migration project for 100+ measures a lot easier to move.
That said, we have seen cases reminiscient of nsidhu's where we do something in TMDL on a DirectLake model that the model accepts, but the web view then errors when you try to edit model, so you can only edit in Desktop. ☹️ Would love to see that fixed so these operations can be done everywhere.
Example would be duplicating a table reference for a roleplaying dimension (e.g., two date tables in model from same DB table). Chris Webb has a blog on methodology and other users in comments there report same issue: Role-playing dimensions in Fabric Direct Lake semantic models revisited
