Outlook for iOS: New attachment actions and updates to previewer experience
Outlook for iOS will update attachment actions and previewer experience worldwide from late April to mid-May 2026. New actions include “Preview” and “Send a copy,” with renamed actions for consistency. Changes apply by default to all users; no action is required, but user notification is optional. Introduction We’re updating attachment actions in Outlook for iOS by adding new actions and renaming existing ones. These changes improve consistency across attachment experiences in the reading pane and compose scenarios and introduce additional options for previewing and sharing attachments. When this will happen: General Availability (Worldwide): Rollout begins late April 2026 and is expected to complete by mid‑May 2026. How this affects your organization: Who is affected: All users using Outlook for iOS. What will happen: New attachment actions in the reading pane: Preview – Preview attachments directly from the reading experience. Send a copy – Send an attachment as a copy directly from the reading experience. Attachment action names are updated: Save to device → Share Insert link → Send a link Attach a copy → Send a copy Renamed actions apply across reading pane, compose, and file-related scenarios. The feature is enabled by default. What you can do to prepare: No action is required. You may notify users or update internal documentation.
