Coming soon: Microsoft PowerPoint will create an automatic presentation summary to help readers understand the topics covered in the slide deck. A Microsoft 365 Copilot license is required to access this feature. This message refers to PowerPoint for Windows desktop and PowerPoint for Mac desktop. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 482541 and Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 482542. When this will happen: General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out mid-April 2025 and expect to complete by late May 2025. How this will affect your organization: This feature will be shown proactively to readers (non-editors) of a file once in 24 hours. Readers will see a flyout on the top right side with a minimized summary and a Show full summary option: View image in new tab When a reader selects Show full summary, the entire summary is shown in an expanded flyout: This feature will be on by default. What you need to do to prepare: View image in new tab This rollout will happen automatically by the specified dates with no admin action required before the rollout. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation.
