Change to Copilot Settings in Outlook

Starting in March 2025, Outlook will introduce a setting to hide Copilot entry points, configurable per account and syncing across all Outlook applications. This applies to both organizational and personal accounts. Classic Outlook for Windows will not have this setting, but changes will sync with it. Admins should inform users. Starting in March 2025, Outlook will introduce a new setting that allows users to hide Copilot entry points (e.g., “Summarize this email”) from the app. This setting can be configured per account and will apply to both organizational and personal email accounts within the app. Once set, the preference will sync across all Outlook applications. This update is in response to user feedback. When this will happen: The rollout will begin in March 2025. How this affects your organization: Users will have the option to hide Copilot entry points in the following Outlook applications: New Outlook for Windows Outlook for iOS Outlook for Android Outlook for Mac Outlook on the Web View image in new tab Classic Outlook for Windows will not have the ability to change this setting. However, any changes made in other Outlook applications will sync with Classic Outlook for Windows. What you can do to prepare: Admins should inform users about this new setting and its availability across different Outlook applications.
