Azure Classic Subscription Administrator: guest user (… and why you should care)

This blog contains important reminder about removing the guest user’s classic co-administrator access to subscriptions and upcoming classic cloud service deprecation on August 31st, 2024.
Who will be affected?
This blog post serves as an important reminder to Azure Active Directory administrators who manage guest users’ classic co-administrator access to subscriptions. To remove a guest user’s classic co-administrator access to a subscription, Azure Active Directory administrator must follow the instructions provided in the documentation https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/role-based-access-control/classic-administrators#remove-a-co-administrator.
How will customers be affected?
Azure Active Directory administrators who manage guest users’ classic co-administrator access to subscriptions should know that removing a guest user from the Azure Active Directory does not remove the guest user’s classic co-administrator access to subscriptions. Azure Active Directory administrator must follow the steps in https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/role-based-access-control/classic-administrators#remove-a-co-administrator to remove a guest user’s classic co-administrator access to subscriptions.
