Power Platform – Information about SharePoint file thumbnail changes

Beginning September 1, 2026, SharePoint triggers and actions that are currently returning a thumbnail URL are being updated. The new Get file thumbnail action will return an image instead of a URL, and existing flows that rely on the current thumbnail URL will otherwise return an invalid URL that may cause subsequent flow actions to fail. How does this affect me? Existing flows that use SharePoint triggers or actions such as Get items or Get file items and rely on the thumbnail URL dynamic content should be transitioned to use the new Get file thumbnail action. If flows and agents that rely on a returned URL are not updated to use the new Get file thumbnail action, subsequent actions that depend on that URL may fail. What action do I need to take?
