OneNote: Multimodal capture in Copilot Notebooks (Android)

OneNote: Multimodal capture in Copilot Notebooks (Android)

Microsoft 365 Copilot Notebooks’ multimodal capture—combining audio transcription, image capture, and typed notes—is expanding to OneNote for Android. Available from mid-August 2026, it generates AI-structured pages saved in Copilot Notebooks, requiring Microsoft 365 Copilot and SharePoint or OneDrive licenses. No admin action needed. We’re expanding multimodal capture in Microsoft 365 Copilot Notebooks to the Microsoft OneNote app for Android. This feature helps users capture in-person and on-the-go work in a single session by combining audio transcription, image capture, and typed notes. When the session ends, Microsoft 365 Copilot generates a structured Copilot Page containing insights and captured content, which is saved to the user’s selected Copilot Notebook. This experience is designed for scenarios such as in-person conversations, brainstorming sessions, whiteboard discussions, field work, and personal note-taking. The feature is already available in OneNote for iPhone and iPad and is now expanding to Android devices. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 567895.
