60-Day Reminder: Windows 11, version 24H2 and Windows 10 LTSB 2016 reaching end of updates on October 13, 2026
On October 13, 2026, Windows 11, version 24H2 Home and Pro editions, and Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2016 will reach end of updates. After this date, devices running these editions will no longer receive monthly security and non-security preview updates containing protections from the latest security threats. We recommend updating devices running Windows 11, version 24H2 Home and Pro editions to Windows 11, version 25H2 to continue receiving monthly security and quality updates. Enterprise and Education editions remain supported until October 12, 2027. For more information, see the How to get the Windows 11 2025 Update video. For devices running Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2016, we recommend updating to the latest Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) release, Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024. Extended Security Updates (ESU) are also available for organizations that need additional time to complete their transition. For more information about product lifecycle dates, see Windows 11 release information, Windows 10 release information, and Lifecycle FAQ – Windows. Message ID: MC1454882
