Microsoft Copilot Studio – Deploy custom agents to SharePoint

Microsoft Copilot Studio – Deploy custom agents to SharePoint

We are announcing the ability to deploy custom-built agents to SharePoint. This feature will reach general availability on May 20, 2025. How does this affect me? This feature enables users to bring custom agents into your SharePoint sites to help your team stay productive where they collaborate. Agents can answer questions, retrieve information, and take action in the context of shared documents, plans, or project spaces. This reduces time spent switching tools and accelerates task completion. By default, the SharePoint channel will follow the Authenticate with Microsoft setting, ensuring that your data remains safe and secure. The SharePoint channel will be integrated into the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) process. It can be enabled or disabled through DLP settings and will comply with all existing DLP guidelines. What action do I need to take? This message is for awareness and no action is required. Message ID: MC1078671
