Power Platform admin center – Cost controls – Draw from tenant credit pool

Power Platform admin center – Cost controls – Draw from tenant credit pool

We are announcing the Cost controls – Draw from tenant credit pool rule in Power Platform admin center. This feature will reach general availability on August 26, 2026. How does this affect me? The Cost controls – Draw from tenant credit pool rule will allow users to enable or disable whether environments can draw from the available capacity in the tenant when they reach their credit allocation or have no allocation set. By default, the “Draw from the available capacity in my tenant” capability will be enabled at the environment level. Disabling it will limit the credits an environment can use each month for cost control. When the rule is published for an environment group, the setting will apply across all environments in the group and will not be able to be changed at an individual environment level. To retain per-environment control, do not apply the rule to that environment group or move the environment outside the group. Users will also be able to manage this capability per environment in the Power Platform admin center or use Power Platform API methods to manage it at scale. What action do I need to take? This message is for awareness, and no action is required. To configure this rule, users will navigate to Manage > Environment Group in the Power Platform admin center, select the target environment group, add Cost controls – Draw from tenant credit pool rule, configure it to enable or disable the setting, and apply the changes.
