Planned Maintenance: Teams Q and A

EU-based organizations that have Teams Q&A data residing in US datacenters will have their data moved to EU datacenters starting in late October 2024. During the migration process, the Q&A feature will be read-only for approximately 4 hours and users won't be able to create new Q&A-enabled meetings. Notifications will be sent about the specific migration date and time. This notification is for customers with tenants in the EU but Q&A data residing in US datacenters. The Q&A feature in Teams powered by Viva Engage enables presenters to address questions from attendees during meetings in real time. If an organization had Teams Q&A enabled tenants that onboarded to Viva Engage before 2019 or onboarded to Teams Q&A without prior Viva Engage network, starting from late October 2024, these organizations based in the European Union (EU) will get relocated from US datacenters to EU datacenters. To be considered as an EU tenant, the tenant should have default geography in an EU country or select an EU country during the free trial sign-up process. Users can view Q&A from previous meetings but cannot edit or react. Also, users cannot access the Q&A feature during live meetings, nor create new Teams meetings with Q&A enabled. For four hours, the Q&A feature will be in read-only mode, after which it will be functional again.
