Microsoft PowerPoint: Brand Guidelines and Style removed from new Brand Kit creation

Microsoft PowerPoint no longer includes Brand Guidelines and Style when creating new Brand Kits to simplify the process. Existing Brand Kits retain this content. No action or policy changes are needed, but users should be informed and documentation updated accordingly. To simplify the Brand Kit creation experience in Microsoft PowerPoint, Brand Guidelines and Style are no longer available when creating new Brand Kits. These components are not currently used by Copilot and removing them streamlines the setup experience for users who create and manage Brand Kits. Existing Brand Kits that already contain Brand Guidelines or Style retain this information and previously added content remains available. Rollout schedule As of late September 2026, Brand Guidelines and Style are no longer available when creating new Brand Kits in Microsoft PowerPoint. Impact on your organization Who is affected Users who create or use Brand Kits in Microsoft PowerPoint Brand managers and other users responsible for managing organizational branding assets Platforms and services Microsoft PowerPoint What will happen Users creating a new Brand Kit no longer see options to add Brand Guidelines or Style during setup. Existing Brand Kits are not affected. Brand Guidelines and Style previously added to existing Brand Kits remain available. No existing Brand Kit content is removed. No admin configuration or policy changes are required. Action required and recommendations No action is required. We recommend that you: Inform brand managers and users who create Brand Kits that Brand Guidelines and Style are no longer available during new Brand Kit creation. Update any internal documentation, training materials, or support content that references adding Brand Guidelines or Style during new Brand Kit creation. Reassure users that existing Brand Kits are not affected and that previously added Brand Guidelines and Style content remains available.
