Viva Learning: Academy Auto Save and Draft

Viva Learning premium admins now have Auto-Save and Draft Mode for Academies, allowing background saving and editing published Academies without affecting the live version until published. Additional features include discarding drafts, duplicating sections, and previewing. Rollout begins early August with no configuration needed. We’re introducing two new capabilities for Viva Learning premium licensed admins: Auto-Save: Changes made to new, draft, or published Academies are now automatically saved in the background—even when switching tabs within or outside Viva Learning. Draft Mode for Published Academies: Updates to published Academies are saved in a draft state until the admin chooses to publish. The live version remains unchanged until explicitly updated. How this affects your organization Admins can now edit published Academies without affecting the live version until they choose to publish. Auto-save ensures changes are preserved even if the admin navigates away or switches tabs. Admins can discard draft changes and restore the original published version. Additional capabilities include duplicating sections/sub-sections and previewing Academies without saving changes. This feature is on by default for Viva Learning premium licensed admins.
