Viva Pulse: New Pulse templates, Conversations in Pulse reports, eDiscovery and Microsoft 365 Audit support

Microsoft Viva Pulse is set to receive a flurry of updates, including the introduction of new templates, conversations inside Pulse reports, and eDiscovery and Microsoft 365 Audit support. These updates are currently available in Public Preview and will be deployed in September 2024, with no admin action required. The new templates in Viva Pulse will provide survey authors with enhanced research-backed questions to facilitate better communication with their teams. Meanwhile, Pulse authors will be able to respond to open text responses from Pulse participants and initiate conversations anonymously. eDiscovery and Microsoft 365 Audit support will allow administrators to access and search for Viva Pulse content easily.

These features apply to Pulse on Windows and Mac desktop as well as web and mobile devices. Before the rollout, Pulse authors could only view open text responses from Pulse participants but could not respond. Users with Microsoft Purview access and global administrators were also unable to search for Viva Pulse content in the Microsoft Purview portal. After the update, the two new templates, Microsoft 365 Copilot Readiness and Microsoft 365 Copilot Adoption, will be added to the existing Viva Pulse content library, and Pulse authors will be able to start anonymous conversations with Pulse responders.
