Deprecation of Citrix mVPN Support in Microsoft Edge for Android
Microsoft Edge for Android will retire Citrix Mobile VPN (mVPN) integration starting mid-September 2026 due to compatibility issues. Organizations using this integration must identify affected users, assess dependencies, plan migration to alternative solutions, and communicate changes before support ends. Other Edge features remain unaffected. If your organization does not use Citrix Mobile VPN (mVPN) integration support in Microsoft Edge for Android, you can safely disregard this message. What and Why: Microsoft is retiring Citrix Mobile VPN (mVPN) integration support in Microsoft Edge for Android, beginning with Edge version 153. Citrix mVPN integration in Edge for Android depends on legacy third-party components that present ongoing compatibility and maintenance challenges as Android platform requirements continue to evolve. To help ensure a secure, reliable, and supportable experience for Microsoft Edge users, Microsoft will retire Citrix mVPN integration support in Edge for Android.
