Microsoft Copilot: New Microsoft Teams notifications for Microsoft Copilot Academy users
New Microsoft Teams notifications for Microsoft Copilot Academy users will inform them about new courses starting late June 2025. Requires Teams, Viva Learning, and Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses. Notifications will appear in the Teams Activity feed and are on by default. No admin action needed. More info available [here](https://learn.microsoft.com/viva/learning/academy-copilot). Coming soon: When new content is added to Microsoft Copilot Academy in Microsoft Viva Learning, a monthly notification in Microsoft Teams to users with Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses will inform them about new courses. A Teams license, a Viva Learning license, and a Microsoft 365 Copilot license are required to access this feature. This message applies to Teams for Windows desktop, Teams for Mac desktop, Teams for the web, and Teams for iOS/Android. When this will happen: General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out late June 2025 and expect to complete by early July 2025. How this will affect your organization: The notification messages in the Teams Activity feed will be Elevate your expertise with new Copilot courses, Level up in everyday Copilot scenarios, or Get the most out of Copilot with effective prompts: These notifications will be on by default. There are no admin controls. What you need to do to prepare: This rollout will happen automatically by the specified dates with no admin action required before the rollout. Review your current configuration to assess the impact on your organization. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation.
