Microsoft PowerPoint: Publish and unpublish controls for official brand kits

Microsoft PowerPoint: Publish and unpublish controls for official brand kits

Microsoft PowerPoint will introduce publish and unpublish controls for Official Brand Kits in mid-October 2026, allowing Brand Managers to temporarily remove or restore brand assets without deleting them or changing permissions, enhancing brand content management and availability within organizations. No action is required. We’re introducing publish and unpublish controls for Official Brand Kits in Microsoft PowerPoint. This update gives Brand Managers greater control over the lifecycle and availability of brand assets within their organization. With these new controls, Brand Managers can temporarily remove a Brand Kit from end user access without deleting it or changing editor permissions. When the Brand Kit is ready to be used again, it can be republished. This flexibility helps organizations manage brand content more effectively and ensure only current, approved brand assets are available to users. Rollout schedule General Availability (Worldwide): Beginning in mid-October 2026 and expected to complete in mid-October 2026 Impact on your organization Who is affected Organizations using Official Brand Kits in Microsoft PowerPoint Users assigned as Brand Managers Users who access and use published Official Brand Kits Platforms and services Microsoft PowerPoint Official Brand Kits What will happen Brand Managers will be able to publish and unpublish Official Brand Kits.  When a Brand Kit is unpublished, users will no longer be able to discover or use the Brand Kit.
