Simplifying creation on M365 Copilot mobile
The Microsoft 365 Copilot mobile app will remove the standalone Create experience, starting August 2026, to simplify content creation via Copilot Chat. Create and Brand Kit features remain on web and desktop. No admin action or configuration changes are needed; users should be informed of this update. What and Why: As part of our ongoing effort to deliver a more streamlined, Copilot-first experience on mobile, we are simplifying how users create content in the Microsoft 365 Copilot app for iOS and Android. Users are increasingly creating documents, presentations, images, and other artifacts directly through Copilot Chat using natural-language prompts. To align with this behavior and reduce confusion between multiple creation entry points, we are removing the standalone Create experience from the Microsoft 365 Copilot mobile app. Users will continue to be able to create content by prompting Copilot in Chat. The Create experience will remain available in Microsoft 365 Copilot on the web and desktop. Rollout Schedule: General Availability (Worldwide): Rollout begins in early August 2026 and is expected to complete by mid-September 2026. General Availability (GCC, GCC High, and DoD): Rollout begins in mid-August 2026 and is expected to complete by mid-September 2026.
