Microsoft Outlook for Android: Multi-select and bulk actions in search results

Microsoft Outlook for Android will add multi-select and bulk actions in search results starting mid-October 2026, allowing users to manage multiple emails at once. This feature, already on iOS, improves efficiency without requiring admin action; users should be informed and keep the app updated. We’re introducing multi-select and bulk mail actions in Outlook search results on Android. Users can select multiple email results and take supported actions on those messages in one step, making it faster to organize and manage email found through search. This capability is already available in Outlook for iOS and is now coming to Android. Rollout schedule General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out in mid-October 2026 and expect to complete by late October 2026. What will happen Users can select multiple email results and take supported actions on those messages in one step. Supported actions include organizing, moving, archiving, deleting, or reporting applicable messages. The change reduces the time required to manage several messages found through search. The Android search experience will more closely align with the existing Outlook for iOS experience. Action required and recommendations No administrator action is required.
