Viva Engage: Enhanced article creation and reading experience

Viva Engage will launch enhanced article creation and reading features in March 2026, including multi-column layouts, flexible image handling, auto-generated tables of contents, and improved accessibility. The update is automatic, requires no admin action, and aims to improve long-form content publishing and consumption. Introduction We’re introducing enhancements to article creation and consumption in Engage. These updates provide a more flexible, modern, and accessible way for authors to create long‑form content—making it easier to publish newsletters, structured stories, and rich organizational communications directly within Viva Engage. View image in new tab When this will happen General availability (Worldwide) rollout will begin in early March 2026 and is expected to complete by mid‑March 2026. How this affects your organization Who is affected All Viva Engage users who create or read long‑form content (Articles). What will happen Users will see an updated article authoring and reading experience, including: Modern multi‑column layouts (one‑, two‑, or three‑column) and sidebars Inline images with flexible placement Image resizing and support for captions Automatically generated table of contents based on headings Built‑in accessibility improvements including alt‑text support The feature will be on by default and does not require admin configuration There is no impact to existing policies, no changes to admin controls, and no user action required. What you can do to prepare No admin action is required. To support your organization: Share the upcoming experience with content authors or corporate communicators. Update internal documentation if you reference article creation workflows.
