Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention policy sync time will improve from up to 2 hours to 30 minutes, enabling faster enforcement across Microsoft 365 services. The change, rolling out worldwide from late May to late June 2026, requires no admin action and is enabled by default. What and Why: Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policy updates will now sync significantly faster across Microsoft 365 services. The policy sync service-level agreement (SLA) is being reduced from up to 2 hours to 30 minutes, helping security and compliance teams enforce protections more quickly after making policy changes.
