Re: Power BI July 2026 Feature Summary

Re: Power BI July 2026 Feature Summary

The third party control updates are impressive. Personally I would dearly love to see Microsoft focus though on resolving some of the long term annoyances in the core product functionality to take the product to the next level please, namely:

  1. The ability in a matrix to hide a column and use it for easier and more flexible sorting.
  2. Support for some kind of markup language in text.
  3. A much better and more flexible label control.
  4. A text box control that has many more control appearance formatting and stylistic options and does not behave strangely when sized in certain ways and wraps reliably.
  5. Much more flexibility in the sizing of tooltips (larger) and the ability to hide those tooltip type tabs from users.
