Learners can now unfurl Learning Paths directly in Viva Learning Academy 2.0

Viva Learning Academy 2.0 now allows learners to unfurl Learning Paths directly within the Academy interface, improving access and navigation. This feature, enabled by default, rolls out worldwide from mid to late October 2025 for users with Viva Learning premium or Microsoft 365 licenses, requiring no admin changes. Introduction To improve discoverability and reduce navigation friction, Viva Learning Academy 2.0 is introducing the ability for learners to unfurl Learning Paths directly within the Academy interface. This enhancement aligns with customer feedback requesting more intuitive access to course content and supports a more seamless learning experience. View image in new tab When this will happen: General Availability (Worldwide): Rollout will begin in mid-October 2025 and is expected to complete by late October 2025. How this affects your organization: Who is affected: Users with a Viva Learning premium license accessing tenant academies. Users with a Microsoft 365 license accessing Copilot Academy. What will happen: Users can unfurl a Learning Path (LP) and view all associated learning objects directly within the Academy interface. Navigation to the details page is no longer required to view course content. This feature will be enabled by default. No changes to existing admin policies or configurations are required. What you can do to prepare: No admin action is required for this rollout. However, you may consider the following: Notify users about the improved experience in Viva Learning Academy. Update internal documentation or training materials that reference Learning Path navigation. If applicable, ensure users have the appropriate license (VL premium or M365) to access the feature.
