Microsoft Copilot Studio – Evaluation for Workflows (Trace-Based)
We are announcing the Evaluation for Workflows (Trace-Based) feature for Microsoft Copilot Studio. This feature will reach public preview on May 31, 2026. How does this affect me? This feature enables trace-based evaluation for workflows to measure quality, detect failures, and validate behavior without re-execution or side effects. This feature introduces a reliable evaluation framework that: Enables safe evaluation without re-execution or side effects. Reduces reliance on manual testing, increasing customer confidence, adoption, and governance readiness. Establishes the foundation for evaluation across the entire agent lifecycle.
