Get ready for Windows 11, version 25H2

Moving to Windows 11, version 25H2 is as easy as a quick restart if you’re on version 24H2! Today, Windows 11, version 25H2 became available to the Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. In the second half of 2025, it will be broadly available through an enablement package (eKB). Learn how this technology simplifies feature updates for your scenario. Note that a fresh support cycle begins on the date of general availability.    When will this happen:  June 27, 2025: Windows 11, version 25H2 became available to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel.  Second half of 2025: Windows 11, version 25H2 will be broadly available.    How this will affect your organization:  Help keep your organization protected and productive with Windows 11, version 25H2. Moving to it from Windows 11, version 24H2 is as quick as a single restart thanks to the shared servicing branch. The normal update process is the best option if you’re moving from earlier versions of Windows 11 or Windows 10.     Additionally, devices will benefit from a fresh support lifecycle:  36 months from release date: Windows 11 Enterprise, Windows 11 Enterprise multi-session, Windows 11 Education, Windows 11 IoT Enterprise  24 months from release date: Windows 11 Pro, Windows 11 Pro Education, Windows 11 Pro for Workstations, Windows 11 Home    What you need to do to prepare:    If you want to try Windows 11, version 25H2 early, please enroll in the Windows Insider Program and join the Dev Channel today.    Additional information:  If you manage devices on versions earlier than Windows 11, version 24H2, consider upgrading them to Windows 11, version 24H2 first. This way, you can take advantage of a simple update to Windows 11, version 25H2 through an enablement package (eKB). Otherwise, just follow your normal feature update process, using Windows Update or Windows Autopatch.  Read Get ready for Windows 11, version 25H2.  Plan for Windows 10 EOS with Windows 11, Windows 365, and ESU.  What is an enablement package?  Download Windows updates and the shared servicing model from Official Microsoft Download Center.  Enroll in the Windows Insider Program.  Search product and services lifecycle information.
