Microsoft Teams: SMS Notifications in Virtual Appointments Template (Premium)
Microsoft Teams has rolled out a new feature for US users that sends SMS text notifications to external guests who have virtual appointments. The SMS notifications include appointment details and a direct link to the meeting, making it easier for guests to join directly from their mobile device. Notifications are sent for appointment confirmation, updates, and a reminder 15 minutes before the appointment begins. Please note that this feature is currently only available in the US and will be generally available starting August CY2023. This is a Premium feature, and more information can be found on the Microsoft 365 Admin roadmap.
