Microsoft 365 admin center – Usage reports: Copilot Search usage
A new Copilot Search usage report will be available in the Microsoft 365 admin center by early September 2025, showing user activity and search metrics. It is enabled by default, requires no setup, and helps organizations monitor Copilot Search adoption and usage trends. To help you manage Copilot Search adoption within the Microsoft 365 Copilot app, we’re introducing a new usage report in the Microsoft 365 admin center. This report provides insights into how users in your organization are engaging with Copilot Search, enabling better visibility and informed decision-making. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID: 497545 When this will happen General Availability (Worldwide): Rollout will begin late August 2025 and is expected to complete by early September 2025. How this affects your organization A new “Copilot Search” report will appear under Reporting > Usage > Microsoft 365 Copilot > Copilot Search in the Microsoft 365 admin center. This report includes: Active users and average daily active users Total searches and average searches per user Daily trend view of active usage and total searches Copilot Search usage breakdown per user This feature is on by default and requires no configuration. What you can do to prepare No administrative action is required prior to rollout. We recommend informing relevant administrators so they can begin using the report once available.
