Dynamics 365 Finance: Improved planning writeback performance and flexibility
Business performance planning improves the performance and flexibility of writeback from the Matrix visual. Writeback processing has been optimized to improve performance for planning adjustments, particularly for larger splash and multi-update operations. The improvements also optimize writeback for users with dimension security, where additional security validation is required. In addition, report designers no longer need to include a field from every cube dimension in the Matrix visual to enable writeback. The Matrix can now be designed using only the dimensions relevant to the planning experience while still supporting writeback to the underlying cube.
