Microsoft Copilot Studio – Create agents optimized for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft 365 Copilot users
We are announcing the ability to create agents optimized for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft 365 Copilot users in Microsoft Copilot Studio (MCS). This feature will reach public preview on June 30, 2026. How does this affect me? This capability includes the use of new knowledge types (such as people, Teams messages, and Exchange inboxes), alongside Visual Creator and Code Interpreter, to create an experience similar to Agent Builder. Additionally, these agents in MCS can use topics, Power Platform connectors and agent workflows, and access analytics and evaluations. Makers can access these features by: Creating a new agent in MCS and configuring it to engage with employees using Microsoft 365. Exporting an existing agent, which will automatically configure their agent to target employees using Microsoft 365. What action do I need to take? This message is for awareness, and no action is required. If you would like more information on this feature, please visit Create agents optimized for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft 365 Copilot users.
