Microsoft 365 Copilot: Create a PowerPoint slide from a file or prompt
Microsoft 365 Copilot helps create PowerPoint slides from files or prompts, making the process more efficient. This feature will be available worldwide from late April 2025 to early June 2025. No admin action is required, but notifying users and updating documentation is recommended. Creating impactful PowerPoint slides can be challenging and time-consuming. Copilot helps you quickly turn your ideas and files into a fully designed slide with content ready to edit and refine, making the presentation, creation, and refinement process more personalized and efficient. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 477374. When this will happen: General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out late April 2025 and expect to complete by early June 2025. How this will affect your organization: Copilot customers can now access the capability to transform their ideas and files into a PowerPoint slide, as follows: 1. Open an existing presentation or create a new presentation in PowerPoint. 2. Select the Add a slide option in the Copilot menu above your slide or the New Slide with Copilot button on the ribbon. View image in new tab View image in new tab 3. Describe the slide you want Copilot to draft, select the paper clip button, or type / to select a reference file for your slide. View image in new tab 4. Click Send and Copilot will generate a slide for you. Edit the slide to suit your needs, ask Copilot to rewrite your text, or start over with a new slide and refine your prompt to include a more specific topic. What you need to do to prepare: This rollout will happen automatically with no admin action required.
