What and why: Outlook for Mac will support Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention \(DLP\) wait\-on\-send policies. Organizations can require a DLP evaluation before an email is sent and configure how long users must wait for policy evaluation to complete. This helps ensure sensitive information is inspected against organizational policies before messages leave the organization while providing administrators with flexible control over the user experience. Rollout schedule: General Availability (Worldwide, GCC, GCC High, DoD): We will begin rolling out late September 2026 and expect to complete by late September 2026. Impact on your organization: This feature helps organizations reduce the risk of sensitive information being sent before Microsoft Purview DLP policies can be evaluated. Administrators can require users to wait for policy inspection and configure the maximum wait time based on organizational requirements.
