Retirement Notice of Learning Coach Agent in M365 Copilot

The Learning Coach Agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot will retire in early October 2026, becoming inaccessible afterward. Users should transition to the Learning Agent before then. Administrators can manage the agent until mid-October. Communicate the change, save important data, and update training to use the Learning Agent. What and Why: The Learning Coach Agent (Learning Coach) in Microsoft 365 Copilot will be retired during the first week of October 2026. Users will no longer be able to access the Learning Coach agent through Microsoft 365 Copilot after the retirement date. Existing Learning Coach experiences, entry points, and associated functionality will be removed as part of this deprecation. Customers who rely on Learning Coach for learning recommendations, skill development guidance, or personalized learning support should transition to Learning Agent (https://aka.ms/learning-agent) before the retirement date. Rollout Schedule: Worldwide: We will begin rolling out on early October 2026 and expect to complete by mid-October 2026. Impact on your organization: Customer Impact: Currently, the agent is no longer discoverable by new users and cannot be searched for or installed. Existing users can continue accessing the agent through the agent tray until the first week of October. After that, the agent will no longer be accessible through Microsoft 365 Copilot. Organizational Impact: Administrators will continue to see and manage the agent in the Microsoft Admin Center (MAC) until the second week of October. After that point, the agent will be completely removed from MAC and will no longer be available for administration or deployment. Organizations relying on the agent will need to transition users to Learning Agent (https://aka.ms/learning-agent) before these deadlines to avoid disruption. Action Required/Recommendations: Communicate the retirement of the Learning Coach Agent to all users within the tenant and provide clear timelines for its deprecation. Advise users to review and save any important conversations or information from the Learning Coach Agent before it becomes unavailable.
