Microsoft Purview compliance portal | Endpoint Data Loss Prevention: Add hyperlinks to warn and block toast messages
Coming soon to Microsoft Purview portal | Endpoint Data Loss Prevention: Data officers will be able to embed hyperlinks in notifications for Purview DLP policies. When this rule is triggered, the user will see a toast with a customized title and message with the specified hyperlink. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 480733. When this will happen: Public Preview: We will begin rolling out late February 2025 and expect to complete by late February 2025. General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out late March 2025 and expect to complete by early April 2025. How this will affect your organization: This feature is useful when organizations need to direct users to a specific resource or a repository for more specific instruction (such as your internal policy on a Microsoft SharePoint site). The new feature will not affect existing policies. Note: Character limits apply to Notification title (120), Notification content (250), and Justification (60). The Hyperlink field has no character limit and will use any remaining available characters, contingent on the entire binary file not exceeding 1MB in total size. View image in new tab What you need to do to prepare: This rollout will happen automatically by the specified date with no admin action required before the rollout. Review your current configuration to determine the impact for your organization. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation. Learn more: Send email notifications and show policy tips for DLP policies | Microsoft Learn (will be updated before rollout) Message ID: MC1031289
