Microsoft Agent 365: Available in Frontier program

Microsoft Agent 365, launching November 18, 2025, in the Frontier program, provides IT control for agents with security, productivity, and management tools integrated into Microsoft 365 admin center, Defender, Entra, and Purview. It offers agent inventory, access control, behavior monitoring, interoperability, and threat protection. We’re introducing Microsoft Agent 365 to customers in the Frontier program. Agent 365 is the IT control plane for agents. It equips your agents with the same apps and protections, tailored to agent needs, saving IT time and effort on integrating agents into business processes. Agent 365 includes leading Microsoft’s security and productivity solutions: Defender, Entra and Purview to protect and govern agents; Microsoft 365 apps and Work IQ to accelerate their productivity; and Microsoft 365 admin center to manage agents. Core capabilities include: Registry: Get a complete view of all agents in your organization, including those with agent IDs, agents you register, and shadow agents. Access Control: Bring agents under management and limit their access to only the resources they need. Prevent compromise with risk-based conditional access policies. Visualization: Explore connections between agents, people, and data. Monitor agent behavior and performance in real time to assess organizational impact. Interoperability: Equip agents with apps and data to simplify human-agent workflows. Connect them to Work IQ for context and onboarding into business processes. Security: Protect agents from threats and vulnerabilities. Detect, investigate, and remediate attacks targeting agents. Safeguard data agents create and use from oversharing, leaks, and risky behavior. When this will happen Rollout begins November 18, 2025, at 9:00 AM PST. How this affects your organization Who is affected: All admins and admin-selected users in Frontier program tenants. What will happen: By default, Agent 365 will be ON for all Frontier program tenants. Admins will see new Agent 365 features in Microsoft 365 admin center, Defender, Purview, and Entra, including: Agent inventory for Entra ID first-party and third-party agents.
