Drawn electronic signatures with eSignature for Microsoft 365

eSignature for Microsoft 365 will add a drawn signature option for signing PDFs, allowing use of stylus, touch, or mouse. Rolling out worldwide from mid-March to mid-May 2026, enabled by default with no admin changes needed. Users can switch between drawn and typed signatures. Introduction We’re adding a new option that allows users to draw their electronic signature when signing PDFs in eSignature for Microsoft 365. This provides a more natural signing experience and expands the existing typed signature option. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 548670. When this will happen General Availability (Worldwide): Rollout will begin in mid-March 2026 and is expected to complete by mid-May 2026. How this affects your organization Who is affected: All users in Microsoft 365 tenants who use eSignature for Microsoft 365 to sign PDF documents. What will happen: Users will see a new option to draw their signature:  View image in new tab Drawn signatures will be created with a stylus, touch, or mouse. Users can switch between drawn and typed signatures during signing. The feature will be enabled by default for all tenants. No admin configuration changes or policy updates will be required.
