Re: New Power Query experience in Power BI Desktop (Preview)
Hello,
We are currently developing a custom Power BI connector and are seeing significant UI discrepancies with the new Power Query Experience.
As we need to plan the required changes and ensure a smooth transition for our users, we would like to understand the following:
- When is the New Power Query Experience expected to become the default?
- Once it becomes the default, will users still have an option to switch back to the classic/legacy experience as a workaround?
- If so, how long is the legacy experience expected to remain available?
- Is there new documentation or guidance in the 'Create Power Query Connectors' for supporting the Invoked Function UI in the Navigator flow with the new Power Query Experience?
- Is there a tentative ETA/timeline for making the new experience the default?
Knowing the expected timeline and recommended approach would help us prioritize the required connector changes, especially since we are currently facing significant UI differences with this new experience.
Thank you.
