Re: Edit your Power BI projects anywhere and reload them instantly in Power BI Desktop (Preview)
I've verified all of the above.
- Open PBIP file in Power BI Desktop August 2026 release that has PBIP Preview Feature Enabled (see attached screenshot).
- Open a visual.json file in IDE ; I utilize Sublime Text 4 while my colleague uses Visual Studio.
- Make a change to a visual.json that has been tested to result in a valid change.
- Save visual.json
- No indicator of detected changes appears in Power BI Desktop in the opened PBIP file, neither immediately nor after waiting several minutes.
- Close PBIP and re-open, verified that the changed visual.json took effect.
