Microsoft Teams: Pop out meeting window on iPad
Microsoft Teams will enable iPad users to pop out meeting windows into separate Teams windows starting October 2025. This feature, enabled by default with no admin action needed, enhances multitasking during meetings. Users can manage the setting within the Teams app; no compliance issues identified. Introduction: To support multitasking during meetings, Microsoft Teams is introducing the ability for users on iPad to pop out their meeting window into a separate Teams window. This enhancement aligns with customer feedback requesting more flexible meeting experiences on mobile devices. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 503109. When this will happen: General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out early October 2025 and expect to complete by mid-October 2025. General Availability (GCC, GCC High and DoD): We will begin rolling out mid-October 2025 and expect to complete by late October 2025. How this will affect your organization: Who is affected: All users who join Microsoft Teams meetings using iPads. What will happen: Users will be able to pop out their meeting window into a separate Teams window. This feature is enabled by default; no admin configuration is required. Users can manage this setting from their Teams app on iPad. Existing device settings and policies remain unchanged.
