This update, rolling out globally from mid-August to early September 2026, requires no action but may prompt updates to training materials. Existing navigation methods remain unchanged. What and why: PowerPoint Live now supports the Up Arrow and Down Arrow keys for navigating between slides during a presentation. This enhancement gives presenters additional, familiar keyboard options and makes slide navigation easier and more intuitive. Rollout schedule: General Availability (Worldwide, GCC, GCC High, DoD): Rollout began in mid-August 2026 and is expected to be completed by early September 2026. Impact on your organization: Who is affected: Users who present slides with PowerPoint Live. Platform: PowerPoint Live. After this update: Presenters can use the Up Arrow and Down Arrow keys to navigate between slides. Existing slide-navigation methods and input-device workflows will continue to work. The additional keyboard shortcuts will be available automatically as the update rolls out. Action required / Recommendations: No action is required. You may update internal training or support materials to include the additional keyboard shortcuts.
