We have paused automatic app updates for Microsoft Teams app version 1449/1.0.94.2026220406 on Phone devices. We identified an issue in this app version that disables Advanced Calling on CAP devices, resulting in reduced calling functionality. To minimize customer impact, devices that have not yet received this update will remain on their current Teams app version until a corrected build is available. Platforms and services Microsoft Teams Teams phones Common Area Phone (CAP) devices What will happen On Phone devices updated to Teams app version 1449/1.0.94.2026220406, Advanced Calling is disabled. Automatic updates to Teams app version 1449/1.0.94.2026220406 have been paused to prevent additional devices from being affected. Devices that have already received this app version will remain affected until a fixed version is released or a workaround is applied. Only automatic updates are paused. Administrators can still manually update devices to this version through the Teams admin center. Action required and recommendations No immediate action is required. This pause is applied by Microsoft. If your organization has devices already running Teams app version 1449/1.0.94.2026220406 and Advanced Calling functionality is needed, either of the following mitigations can restore Advanced Calling: Deploy a Teams admin center configuration profile with Advanced Calling enabled to affected devices and then re-sync the devices. If you have Teams Shared Devices (TSD) licenses, assign an IP Phone policy with the sign-in mode set to User sign-in for the affected accounts. A permanent fix is currently in development.
