Re: Power BI August 2026 Feature Summary

Re: Power BI August 2026 Feature Summary

Good to see this. I've had a few models where 95% of it works great on Direct Lake but there's always that one dimension table that really wants to be Import — calculated columns, different refresh cadence, whatever. Used to mean compromising on the whole model or hacking around it. Being able to just flip that one table to Import in web modeling and keep the relationships working properly is a nice fix.

Only thing I'd want to test before using this on a production model is how refresh orchestration behaves when you've got Direct Lake and Import tables on different schedules in the same model. Anyone tried that yet?
