Microsoft Purview Audit: General availability of New Search functionality

Microsoft Purview Audit has announced the release of new search functionality for Audit (Standard) and Audit (Premium) users. This update builds on the familiar search interface that enables search across essential audit log events to provide insights into user actions and the security of company data. The new search tool includes features such as the ability to run 10 concurrent audit search jobs and to review progress, number of results, and job status, all from the UI. It also stores historical search job results for 30 days and allows users to filter and export data. Search jobs will also continue to run even if the browser is closed, and active jobs and detailed results will be accessible when returning to the Audit Search homepage. The rollout to general availability will commence in late September and is expected to be complete by late October. No action is required to enable the new search, and users can find it by clicking on the New Search tab on the Audit homepage. Classic Search will still be available under the Search tab.
