Microsoft 365: Find more actions in the suite header menu
Microsoft 365 is moving some suite header actions, including Settings, My Day, and Sync, into the More (…) menu to reduce clutter and improve discoverability. The change, rolling out from September to November 2026, requires no admin action but may need user communication and documentation updates. To keep the Microsoft 365 suite header organized and reduce visual clutter, some actions currently displayed directly in the suite header will move to the More (…) menu. This update improves discoverability of additional actions while preserving existing functionality. The Settings and My Day actions will continue to be available and can be accessed from the More (…) menu. We are also adding the Sync button to that menu. This change does not remove any capabilities. It only changes where certain actions are accessed. Rollout schedule Targeted Release (Worldwide): Began in early September 2026 and expected to complete by mid-September 2026 General Availability (Worldwide, GCC High, DoD): Beginning in early October 2026 and expected to complete by late October 2026 General Availability (GCC): Beginning in early October 2026 and expected to complete by early November 2026 Impact on your organization Who is affected Users who access Microsoft 365 applications and services that display the suite header Platforms and services Microsoft 365 Web experiences that include the Microsoft 365 suite header What will happen Some actions currently displayed directly in the suite header will move to the More (…) menu. The Settings and My Day actions will be available from the More (…) menu. Users will continue to have access to the same functionality. The change will be enabled automatically as part of a service update. No admin configuration is required. This update simplifies the suite header and provides a consistent location for accessing additional actions. Before: After: Action required and recommendations No action is required. We recommend that you: Inform support and helpdesk teams that some suite header actions are changing location.
