Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention for endpoints – Archive File Support for Mac Endpoints
Microsoft has announced that the Purview compliance portal will soon feature Data Loss Prevention (DLP) for endpoints and archive file support for Mac endpoints. The DLP feature will inspect every archive file's content upon creation, modification or reading, and classify the files within them to evaluate against active DLP policies. This feature helps to ensure that applicable auditing and enforcement policies are applied to the archive file. This product is set to be globally released in May of 2024, with preview available for the same month.
This update is a part of Microsoft's roadmap ID 392846, and the Microsoft 365 Compliance Portal enables organizations to access compliance solutions across a variety of Microsoft Cloud services and applications, all while providing enhanced end-to-end visibility and control within the organization.
