GET THE SIZE OF TABLES IN DYNAMICS 365 / DATAVERSE ENVIRONMENT

Data management holds paramount importance in enterprises that constantly deal with growing data volume. In this context, Microsoft Dataverse has become a critical tool for businesses to expand and drive innovation. Understanding the data volume and tracking the space reserved by each table in Dataverse is essential. This post explains how to get the size of tables in Dynamics 365 / Dataverse environment.

By logging into the Power Platform Admin Center and navigating to the Capacity option under the Resources menu, you can get the size of each table. From there, click the Details (graph) button for the specific environment, to open a detailed report of Usages for Database Usage, File Usage, and Log Usage. To check the size of each table, you can download all tables in a CSV file, where the size for each table is sorted by the highest space usage in MB.

This comprehensive report can give insights on potential performance issues, offering a better understanding of the data volume and the most prominent tables.

With these tips, you can enhance your capacity to manage data volumes effectively in your Power BI environment.
