Microsoft Teams: Enhanced cross-platform meetings via SIP join for Teams Rooms
Microsoft Teams Rooms now offer enhanced cross-platform meetings through SIP join, enabling users to join SIP-based conferencing services like Google Meet, Zoom, or Cisco Webex via Teams Rooms. This integration provides a seamless collaboration experience, with support for 1080p video, dual screens, various layout options, HDMI input, and other features based on the third-party platform's in-meeting controls. Accessing this integration requires a CVI partner's SIP calling plan, currently Pexip, and is available only for Teams Rooms customers with a Pro license. The feature is generally available as of August CY2024 and is available for both desktop and cloud platforms, including GCC, Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), and GCC High instances.
